Special Guests at ACCA’s AGM: Explore Co-op Governance Trends with CCSC

  • June 19 | 9:30 AM

Join ACCA’s Annual General Meeting on June 19 at 9:30 AM for a timely conversation about co-operative governance and sector impact. We’re welcoming special guests, Josie Ward and Stan Yu, from the Canadian Centre for the Study of Co-operatives (CCSC), who will introduce the 2025 Canadian Co-operative Governance Survey and a new online dashboard tool designed for Canadian co-ops. Plus, hear updates on how ACCA is driving co-op impact across Alberta.

CCSC has officially launched the 2025 Canadian Co-operative Governance Survey—a national initiative collecting insights on board composition, diversity, compensation, training, and governance procedures across Canadian co-operatives. They’re seeking participation from co-ops across the country to help build a clearer picture of governance in the sector and strengthen collective understanding of what’s working, where challenges lie, and how we can grow together.

Why should your co-op take part?
By completing the survey, your organization will unlock unrestricted access to the Co-operative Governance Online Dashboard, a powerful tool designed to strengthen leadership and accountability.

  • Benchmark your governance practices against other co-ops across Canada

  • Visualize and analyze your own board’s data

  • Generate custom reports to support training, planning, and board development.

Whether aiming to improve diversity, refine procedures, or adopt best practices, this tool gives you the insights to lead confidently.

This session will offer:

  • An overview of the survey

  • A live walkthrough of the Dashboard tool

  • An open Q&A to address your questions and feedback

If you're serving on a co-op or credit union board—or supporting those who do—this is a chance to discover how data can shape better governance.

Don’t miss this opportunity to learn, connect, and strengthen co-operative leadership across Alberta and beyond.
